Hello, my name is Matt. I am a computer professional looking to help others learn about various topics in the technological world. Some of my specialties include: programming in languages such as C++ and Python, computer software/hardware support, computer hardware replacement/repair, and computer building. I have an Associate's Degree from Fayetteville Technical Community College in Science, where I was placed on the President's List twice and graduated with Honors. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Fayetteville State University, where I was placed on the Chancellor's List for excellent performance.

As for real world experience, I worked for Harnett County Schools as a Computer Technician II for multiple years, and in that time, I became experienced in many forms of technology support. Examples would be: Windows PC imaging, Windows PC repair, Windows troubleshooting, and Microsoft Office troubleshooting. I am also proficient in: Chromebook repair, ChromeOS troubleshooting, Google Workspace, MacBook repair, MacOS troubleshooting, working with printers and computer peripherals, and much more.

I am a friendly and patient person who loves the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with others who are eager to learn. I have successfully trained multiple people while working at Harnett County Schools, which has helped me learn to share my knowledge in an effective and efficient manner. While I do not have a math degree, I do have a computer science degree, which involved high level mathematics courses which delved into advanced topics. In those courses, I not only learned how to handle math problems, I also learned that everyone has their own process of solving math questions. With that in mind, when tutoring, I like to address math from the perspective of the student to help them learn in their own way. I look forward to helping you in a way that will help you comprehend how the math works for each problem, not just how to solve it.

While I do not have a Biology degree, I did take a large amount of advanced science courses, including Biology courses, in my time at university. I am also passionate about all forms of science and perform large amounts of research just to better my understanding of the subject. I have worked with computers for my whole life, and I thoroughly enjoy learning and utilizing their intricacies. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and was placed on the Chancellor’s List for my excellent grades while immediately landing a job right out of college. In my time earning my degree, I was taught proper procedures for high quality programming and a range of topics. I conquered everything from the fundamentals of many different languages, to more in-depth explanations on specific languages, such as Python, C++, and others.

In addition, I actively support users, both in-person and remotely, as they experience issues with their Mac devices. These issues range from hardware repair, printing problems, settings’ issues, networking, resetting the OS, wiping drives, using Terminal to resolve issues, and much more.
