Hello! My name is Serena and I am a classically trained singer and pianist. I graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. degree in Music from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, specializing in voice. As a lyric soprano, I have trained in opera and art songs, as well as musical theatre, in English, French, German, Italian, Latin, and Spanish, the latter of which I am fluent in as a second language. I also love to sing jazz and pop songs! Over the years, I have studied classical voice with several prestigious voice professors, including Christina Pier of UNC-Charlotte and Ilana Lubitsch of Davidson College. Throughout college, I also studied piano and took several music theory courses. In high school, I studied classical piano intensively with Steinway-Teacher-Hall-of-Fame-recipient Ms. Cynthia Lawing of Davidson College and received "excellent" and "superior" marks at competitions.
