My education has prepared me to be a mentor as well as a practitioner of my studies. I studied playwriting at the Negro Ensemble Company in New York; I worked on the Broadway show, The Poison Tree, with Cleavon Little, Moses Gunn, Northern Galloway and Peter Masterson, which was directed by Charlie Blackwell; I spent two years in Hiroshima, Japan teaching English by using Drama; I have taught Public Speaking at Liberal Arts colleges; I have worked in film, television and stage;I have written plays and performed in original docu-dramas. I consider it a pleasure to give back to society what I have learned over the years.
I was a personal assistant to the legendary actress Bette Davis, an experience that taught me the importance of helping others. Although I did not star in the Color Purple, Quincy Jones was instrumental in letting me be in the film as an extra and securing the musicians in the Juke Joint scene. I have worked on several Hollywood sets and continue to work on movie sets today. I am a member of Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artist One Union. I have taught in community colleges, four year colleges and overseas colleges. In my career I have had a diversity of students from various backgrounds, cultures and religions.
I look forward to tutoring those that are seeking to expand their interest or desire in my field of expertise.
