My academic background, along with certifications in Advanced Java, entry-level Python, Data Science Foundations, and Public Speaking, has given me both strong technical knowledge and the communication skills needed to explain difficult concepts clearly. I tutor in computer science, math, and related subjects because I enjoy helping students build confidence and truly understand the material.
I have been tutoring for years in both formal and informal settings. I started my own neighborhood tutoring program, where I worked one-on-one with younger students and adapted lessons to their learning styles and pace. Since August 2025, I have also worked as a Peer Tutor at UNC Charlotte’s University Center for Academic Excellence, supporting students in courses such as discrete math, algorithms, software engineering, databases, and networking. These experiences have helped me learn how to create a comfortable environment where students feel supported and confident asking questions.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and personalized. I break down complex topics into smaller steps, use examples that fit the student’s level, and focus on helping them understand concepts instead of memorizing steps. My goal is for every student to leave sessions feeling more confident, more prepared, and more independent.
