I specialize in Mandarin tutoring and helping students craft standout college and graduate school applications, with over six years of experience guiding students through essays, fellowships, and interviews. I’ve personally been admitted to programs at Stanford, Columbia, UPenn, Duke, Georgetown, and USC, among others, and I use that insight to help students position themselves strategically and authentically in highly competitive applicant pools.
My approach is structured but highly personalized. I work closely with students to brainstorm compelling ideas, develop clear narratives, and refine their writing into polished, distinctive essays. I focus not just on editing, but on teaching students how to think critically about their experiences and communicate them with clarity and confidence—skills that carry into interviews and beyond.
I also have experience teaching Mandarin to students ages 5–18. I began studying Chinese at age five in an immersion program and earned a perfect score on the AP Chinese exam. I tailor lessons to each student’s level, balancing strong fundamentals with engaging, practical language use.
I hold business degrees from the University of Southern California, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Bocconi University in Italy. I also have a Master's in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University in China as a Schwarzman Scholar.
