I was born and raised in Mexico. I attended bilingual schools all of my life. At the age of 14, I went to Texas as an exchange student for 2 years, which helped me master my language skills. When I returned to Mexico, I took a course to become certified as an English teacher. I began teaching English when I was 17 years old at various language schools and also at an Elementary Bilingual School to 3rd and 4th grade students.

Rodrigo has been my Spanish teacher for a while now and I can say that ever since I started working with him my Spanish has improved drastically. As someone who is first generation Mexican American, I was not spoken to in Spanish by my Mexican family growing up. Everything I had learned up until working with Rodrigo was just learned through experience growing up in a Spanish church. Once I started working with Rodrigo learning proper grammar and how the Spanish language works I have improved drastically. Every day that goes by I am improving more and more. When I talk to native Spanish speakers I can feel more connected to them in a way I have not felt before. Before when I would speak to native Spanish speakers I would get nervous and be fearful of messing up. And now I can say that I have a lot more confidence then ever before and that is all thanks to Rodrigo's teaching! He is very patient and helpful throughout our lessons and is always giving great tips to be aware of certain things in the language. I have learned a lot so far and I know that there is still so much more to learn to get to my goal of being a fluent Spanish speaker. I look forward to more lessons with Rodrigo and if you are thinking about taking lessons with Rodrigo, I would say to go for it and you will see how much you can learn and improve!

Great Spanish language tutor!
Rodrigo has been a fantastic teacher for my ninth grader. My son was falling behind in advanced Spanish class, and Rodrigo really helped him get back on his feet and advance very quickly kiss now working towards his A levels. Rodrigo is patient organized and strategic in the way he tackles the tutoring of the subject. He has helped my son immensely, and I will continue to work with him for the foreseeable future. Highly recommend this Tutor.

A Patient and Proficient Spanish Teacher with a Systematic Approach

He clearly explained the conjugations and provided worksheets to reinforce understanding in each topic. I have been working with Rodrigo since November (3 months) and highly recommend his services! For my level of proficiency, our classes are a mix of conversation to learn new vocabulary and refreshers on tenses and concepts including helpful homework to reinforce the topics. As a tutor, Rodrigo is open, knowledgeable, builds a structured and custom program and keeps the sessions lively and entertaining! Very happy to be continuing my Spanish learning with him.
