Donovan is the name; Helping students excel is the game! I graduated from Wake Forest University in 2021 (class of 2020) with a degree in Communications and minor in Entrepreneurship. I have been a math whiz since elementary school and really that's when my tutoring journey began. I have always enjoyed helping peers in variety of subjects, but math has primarily been my forte. I tutor one-one as a side gig, as well as tutor and TA in small group settings in my local school system. Since graduating, I really discovered my passion working with kids through working with those with disabilities as a support provider, I've been a mental health technician, as well as started the process to obtain my registered behavioral technician license to work with those with autism (in addition to my tutoring services).
I like to individualize my tutoring to better help students by incorporating games, activities, and problems that support not just the real world - but their world. I can come up with my own curriculum and material to go over with students, but using in-class homework and activities always helps as a baseline for teaching students current things they're working on.
