I'm Deidre! I graduated summa cum laude from New Mexico Highlands University with a Bachelor's of Science degree. I have been a nurse for 15 years. I started my nursing career in Med-surg and transitioned to pediatric nursing after a few years.
I have been working with children for over 13 years. I have taught ESL online for 2 years and have also tutored math and Spanish. I have a TESOL certificate.

Confidence and Success in Dosage Calculations
Diedre is an incredible math tutor! As a nursing student, dosage calculations can be stressful, especially with exams on day one that require a 100% to pass. She breaks everything down in a way that makes it easy to understand and manageable. Thanks to her guidance, I have been able to ace every dosage calculation exam so far. I am truly grateful for her support and highly recommend her to anyone who needs help building confidence and understanding in math!

Diedre was nice but I fill like I could have benefited more from the session if it was focused and already tailored to the topics I had provided prior to the meeting. Instead, Google and a few other online sources were utilized on the topics I had questions on. I was expecting the tutor I chose to put together a strategy to aide in my understanding of the nursing concepts.

I try my best to customize my sessions with students based on their needs including visuals and sample questions where it is helpful. Occasionally, I do provide visuals from google to use, in addition to my textbooks and work experience, where I think it is helpful to visualize things. I typically find those visuals easier to share than the images in my books.
