Hello World :) I am Keenan! I'm a graduate of UNCC with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Japanese. In college, I realize the importance of education. When you're in a group setting like that, you are able to see the different backgrounds and upbringings. You are able to see why some students excel, and why other need push, and some more than just a push. Teaching isn't a time to tell students what to do or how to do it. It's a time to help students grasp concepts and take it a step further. That's was my reason for wanting a Ph.D. in Computer Science. I am into anything technology or math-related as those are my strong suits. I always have a passion to learn and know more about the technology and fields that are causing an uproar in today's society. I love to experiment, test, and build projects based solely on interest. I try to bring that knowledge and experience to others when tutoring. My students love to hear how they too can do something with what they've learned, and not something to just retain. This is why I see lesson plans fail for a lot of subjects today. I believe in order to reach most individuals, you will need to have them immerse themselves in the subjects.

I have four years of tutoring experience in between second grade to college level math courses. Typically, ranging from pre-algebra to Calculus 2. I try to use real-life examples in order to assist with comprehension. For those who do not take to this type of methodology, I also plan for pattern recognition for individuals. I see that the latter method really helps.

For Japanese, I am confident in preparing individuals for the JLPT N5 and N4 language placement exams. I have completed the N3 exam flawlessly and will be processing to studying for the N2 exam. In terms of tutoring, I believe it is ALWAYS best for the individual to be in an immersive setting.

I have 5 years of tutoring experience and even taught a few Computer Science classes. Lesson plans are TERRIBLE for individuals needing assistance in the fi
