My name is India, and I attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I received a B.A. degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work. I have experience working as a high school and college academic adviser, assisting students with essays, applications, and writing assignments. Over the past three years, I have served as an academic adviser in higher education. I have experience advising students at the 4 year, community college level, and graduate students. My areas of expertise include assisting students with APA and MLA format, helping students develop strong resumes for college applications and graduate/professional schools, and editing and revising personal statements and high school/college writing assignments. I also provide tutoring in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, and English. I am passionate about working with students as they navigate their academic careers. I am typically available for tutoring sessions in the evening/night during the week and late afternoon/evening/night on the weekend. I am flexible and offer tutoring online for convenience. I am also available to help students brainstorm and create outlines when they are writing an essay, resume, or developing a personal statement.

I have taken several English and writing courses during my time at UNC-Chapel Hill. I have also worked closely with students struggling with writing as a college academic adviser.
