I began my journey with Yoga while in undergraduate at UNCC. I took the weekly Hatha Yoga class at the student union and loved it. I began my journey with Yoga while in undergraduate at UNCC. I took the weekly Hatha Yoga class at the student union and loved it. After undergraduate I occasionally could find a yoga class the YMCA or gym. After years of cycling, I began to take regular Yoga class at the gym I went to. In one of those classes a “Yoga buddy” told me about hot yoga and how much it helped his stretching. I went and checked it out and spent the next several years working on a hot vinyasa practice. This lead me to a Baptiste practice at a local studio. After several years of a regular yoga practice, I wanted to deepen my practice and selected a 200 hour teacher training program that would fit with my work schedule. I completed my 200 hour training in March of 2015 and began teaching in treatment centers with adults in early recovery. I love working with new students and beginners and that lead me to teach at local yoga studios. I strive to provide a safe, open and encouraging environment for all students to explore their strengths and possibilities through a yoga practice.
I am an experienced Yoga Teacher who has worked with both adults and adolescents. I have offered classes for beginning students as well as advanced. I teach meditation, stress management through Pranayama (breath meditation) and as well as Power Vinyasa classes oriented toward fitness and strength development. I am available to teach couples and small groups.
