My name is Tarnue. I was born in Liberia but moved to the U.S. when I was ten, I’ve lived here ever since. I graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 2011 and attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP).

My son was having a hard time with Java and somehow my online search led me to Wyzant and Tarnue. Tarnue is a patient, knowledgeable and very helpful tutor. Despite his busy schedule he found time to tutor my son. I highly recommend Tarnue and will definitely have my son call him if he has problems in future with computing.

Tarnue was a great tutor, and he helped me learn and get through some assignments that was out of my reach. I really enjoyed how patient he was, because i'm very new to computer science and i wasn't sure about any of the work i had read out of the book. I was confused with the Big Oh concept, but he explained it very clearly in a way that I understand it now. Same with recursion. I liked how he was willing to repeat his explanations multiple times, and in different ways when I didn't understand the first time.

Getting online with Tarnue has been incredibly helpful. This has been my second session with him and he is always super easy to understand and follow. He is always willing to slow down and take it at whatever pace I am feeling comfortable with, and doesn't move on until I understand. He is knowledgeable and friendly, and with screen sharing I am able to follow along when he is teaching me something new. I am for sure getting together with Tarnue again for my programming problems.
