My name is Geena and I am a French teacher. I have been speaking the language since elementary school and began teaching French over ten years ago. I have a conversational teaching style but also include the important structural elements that allow a student to learn quickly and efficiently. In tutoring, I also incorporate media tools, storytelling, and interactive exercises to enhance the learning experience and make it more enjoyable for a student to learn the language.

Excellent tutor!
Even though we only used Geena for a short time, she made such a difference for my son in French. She is enthusiastic and eager to teach. She is flexible - made it easy to schedule sessions. She was always accommodating. We will definitely use her again if the need arises! Two thumbs up!

Geena is a great tutor. She was my French tutor from February until July of 2011, where she taught me french grammar, pronunciation, and how to read and translate. Prior to that, I had no french experience or training at all. I had to learn French in order to pass a french translation exam for my graduate program. In those few short months, Geena was able to teach me the foundations of French up to the advanced levels of grammar, and I successfully passed my translation exam. She is very knowledgeable in French, as well as extremely helpful. She is always willing to go the extra mile. She assigns and corrects homework if the student wants it. She is also very accommodating and works around your schedule. Geena is very patient and always in a good mood- very easy to work with. She makes the difficult language very enjoyable to learn. I would recommend her to anyone at any level- whether you just want a refresher or are starting brand new- Geena is the best tutor to choose.
