I graduated magna cum laude from Davidson College in 2025 with majors in Hispanic Studies and Gender Studies, where I received my department’s award for excellence in Hispanic Studies. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and I can support students in writing, application essays, and Spanish-language coursework and conversation. Writing has been at the center of my academic and professional life, from a research-based senior thesis to professional and community communications, and I love helping other people find and sharpen their own voice on the page.
After college I spent a year teaching high school in Charlotte, where I worked closely with students and their families both in the classroom and one on one. A great deal of that work was individualized: helping students organize their ideas, develop a draft through revision, and build the confidence to say what they actually mean. I also collaborated regularly with families and supported students through the kinds of high-stakes writing that can feel overwhelming, which is much of what the college application process asks of a teenager.
