As a tutor of over 7 years of experience, I usually specialize in math topics (precalc, calc, algebra, and anything else for those tough AP classes or for students who want to get ahead!), but I can also lend a hand to other topics! I am a trilingual who speaks English and Korean, and studies Spanish. I can also be a conversational partner for whoever wants to practice their language skills! On a side note, I also really love to draw and make animations! Although it's more of a hobby, I'd love to give anyone tips or teach them a thing or two about art!
And don't worry about tutor sessions getting boring. I am no stranger to students getting stuck, frustrated, or unmotivated. I can always think of a way to offer new perspectives or working side by side to better suit the understanding of a student-- because everyone is built different. I've got patience and flexibility on hand! Whatever you're stressing about, we can get through it!
As for structure, I usually do 1-1 tutoring sessions, which is where I can better understand the needs of my student. For example, I am currently tutoring an elementary school student who wants to learn the Korean language and culture. We usually start off with a quick warm up or greeting, get to the content, do a little fun activity related to Korean culture, and end with a motivational goodbye. My students are usually consistent, so I can build a bond with them. However, with individual sessions, I can do my best to communicate whatever is necessary to be the best fit for your student! If the parents choose, I always like to give feedback, a rundown of the session, or extra resources for the student to utilize afterwards! Again, I am flexible with the structure, so let me know if something else suits your need!
