Hello! My name is Madison, and I am a certified Special Education teacher with a Master’s degree in Special Education (K–12) and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (Birth–2). I have experience working with students from preschool through elementary school in inclusive classroom settings, as well as providing individualized academic support. My background has allowed me to develop a strong foundation in early literacy instruction, phonics, reading comprehension, and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked closely with students who have IEPs, learning disabilities, attention challenges, and reading delays. I use evidence-based instructional practices such as explicit, systematic phonics instruction, guided reading strategies, scaffolding, and multi-sensory learning techniques to help students build both skill and confidence. I believe that strong foundational skills in reading and math are essential for long-term academic success, and I tailor each session to meet the individual needs of the student.
I have taught in structured classroom environments and provided one-on-one support, allowing me to adapt lessons based on a student’s pace, strengths, and goals. My approach is patient, supportive, and encouraging. I focus not only on academic growth but also on helping students feel capable and confident in their abilities. I look forward to partnering with families to create meaningful progress and a positive learning experience for each student.
