Bio

I am a High School Math teacher with over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. Throughout my career, I have taught every major math course offered in high school, including Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and beyond. I have worked with students in grades 9–12 and have a deep passion for helping them not only understand math but also build confidence and even enjoy the subject.

I am a High School Math teacher with over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. Throughout my career, I have taught every major math course offered in high school, including Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and beyond. I have worked with students in grades 9–12 and have a deep passion for helping them not only understand math but also build confidence and even enjoy the subject.

While I love teaching in the classroom, I find that 1-on-1 tutoring is where I can make the biggest impact. It gives me the opportunity to meet students exactly where they are, identify their individual needs, and guide them toward success at their own pace. My goal is always to make math less intimidating and more approachable, whether a student is struggling with the basics or aiming for mastery in advanced topics.

I hold a degree in Mathematics: Secondary Education from Appalachian State University, and I earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership from High Point University. My years of classroom experience combined with my tutoring background allow me to adapt my instruction to a wide variety of learners. I’ve seen firsthand how the right explanation or strategy can completely change a student’s perspective on math.
