I have a BFA in Theatre Arts and Communications from the University of Minnesota. I was hired by Vassar College as a co-instructor in a course on Black orators of the 19th and 20th centuries. The purpose of the course was for the students to read speeches, write their own speeches, and then deliver them for their final examinations. I coached them in all three of these aspects. When teaching, I have generally focused on manuscript speaking for the beginner which includes aspects of memorization, impromptu, and storytelling. In addition to being a lecturer on the college circuit for over 10 years where I spoke to audiences of all ages, I was a professional actor for over 30 years on stage and in television. Oration is my passion.
