Hola! Oi!

I am an experienced middle school teacher who has taught high school level Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 for over 14 years. My students always comment that they enjoy my classes because they have fun but also learn a lot. I studied and lived in Mexico for many years and have traveled to many parts of Latin American and Spain. I also studied and lived in Brazil. My bachelor's degree is in Spanish language and literature. I have many international friends and colleagues and truly live the language, so my spoken Spanish is also very good and authentic. I also happen to be a certified Spanish medical interpreter. So if your interest is in medical Spanish we can work on that too.

I can help you to grow your confidence in Spanish. My lessons are the right balance of rigor and fun. I want you to like learning the language so that you will want to continue. We can work on ways to make grammar rules more understandable, improve your comfort with conversation and even dive more deeply into culture. While I taught levels 1 and 2 primarily, I am comfortable and experienced in helping with any level of Spanish. I am the founder of Immersion Island where we offer immersion camps and experiences with all the fun of a summer camp. So I am now sharing the language in this amazing venture too.
