Outstanding, caring, attentive tutor
Ms. Cheryl V. was my niece's tutor in English, Writing and Reading for close to eight months, with lessons twice a week. During this period, we have seen a noticeable improvement not only in the grades (the grades, by the way, improved after only two months of lessons!), but also in the way how my niece engages with the written word. Her reading comprehension skills are now much better, she is not afraid to tackle 'harder' texts, and has enlarged her vocabulary. Most importantly, my niece now has a much stronger interest in reading and writing in general. For me, it is the most significant outcome that builds a foundation for middle and high school. We also greatly appreciated the summaries of the lessons and priorities for the future lessons submitted by the tutor through this website promptly after each meeting. We would have very much liked to continue lessons with Ms. Cheryl V., but due to her personal circumstances, she is no longer teaching in our area. A big thank you to Ms. Cheryl V. for her patience, strategic approach to lessons and attention to the learning needs of my niece.
