Experienced Pre-Med Tutor for High School and Early College Sciences

I am a neuroscience major on the pre-medical track with a strong academic foundation in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. My coursework has emphasized both conceptual understanding and real-world application of scientific principles, which allows me to confidently support students in core science subjects as well as related areas such as study strategy and academic writing. Through my pre-med preparation, I have developed disciplined study systems and evidence-based learning techniques that I now teach directly to my students.

Over the past year, I have worked with high school and early college students in both one-on-one and small group settings. I currently tutor through my university’s Writing and Learning Center, where I support students across multiple science courses. In this role, I help students strengthen foundational knowledge, improve problem-solving skills, and develop structured approaches to studying complex material. I also served as an Undergraduate Learning Assistant for chemistry, where I facilitated guided practice sessions, led discussions, and provided targeted feedback to help students master challenging concepts. This classroom-based experience has strengthened my ability to explain difficult topics clearly and adapt explanations in real time based on student needs.

My tutoring style is structured, interactive, and personalized. I break down complex topics into logical, manageable steps and focus on building deep understanding rather than memorization. I ask students to explain concepts back to me, work through practice problems collaboratively, and apply ideas to real-world examples to ensure retention. Because of my experience in both academic support centers and classroom environments, I am able to quickly identify learning gaps and design specific strategies to address them. My goal is not only to improve grades, but to build confidence, independence, and genuine curiosity in science so students feel capable and motivated long after our sessions end.
