I am a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with Distinction and minors in Data Science and Chemistry, and I have over 8 years of tutoring experience working with middle school, high school, and college students, both in person and virtually. I specialize in helping students build strong foundations in math (pre-algebra through pre-calculus and trigonometry), general chemistry, and core science subjects including biology and physics.

I also offer ACT test preparation, having earned a 34 (99th percentile) score. My ACT tutoring focuses on content mastery, pacing, strategy, and confidence, with an emphasis on helping students understand how the test works so they can perform consistently under time pressure. In addition, I provide NC EMT exam preparation as a certified North Carolina EMT, supporting adult learners and pre-health students as they prepare for professional certification exams.

My teaching approach is structured and supportive through use of active recall, guided practice, and student engagement. I begin each session by clearly explaining concepts in a way that matches the student’s learning style, followed by targeted questions and guided practice to ensure understanding. I encourage students to explain their thinking out loud, which helps identify gaps early and reinforces long-term retention.
