Hi, I’m Shu. Math has always been a deep passion of mine. As a student, I won first prizes in national math competitions in China during middle and high school and later earned a perfect score on the GRE Math section. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Tsinghua University. I then completed a Master’s degree in Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where I graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor
After 2 months of lessons with Shu, I gained confidence in my mathematical abilities and was able to score 100 on my Algebra 2 final exam! She helped me expand my knowledge so that I would always have the resources to solve any problem, and she always thoroughly explained all problems as well as any questions I had.

My 10th grade daughter had difficult time with her Honors Geometry class. We tried few tutors from Wyzant without improvement. When my daughter met Shu for the first lesson, she felt different and felt more confident. My daughter did six more one hour lessons with Shu and she received her best grade since the start of the semester. Shu was very patient and knowledgeable. We’ll definitely ask her for additional tutoring next semester.

Incredible tutor!
We have had Ms. Shu tutor my boys for 10-20 lessons. She is patient with kids and understands math at a deep level. I believe she can be a good tutor for them for years to come. We are satisfied with the improvement both boys have shown in their math.

We are pretty happy to find Shu to help our 12 year old daughter prepare for her Math count competition. Shu knows her material and can explain clearly. She knows how to teach through example, walked our daughter through problem solving step by step, provides suggestions and ask questions to ensure that the student truly understand how to solve the problem. As parents whom are in engineering field and have not touches Middle school or High school math for a long time, we are glad to have Shu help our daughter with math and will continue lesson with Shu for a long while.
