Given my well-rounded academic experience, I love to teach physics and math, as well as English and essay writing!
It is no secret that physics can be a difficult subject to grasp. Introductory physics professors often struggle to convey information in a tangible, comprehensive way. But I believe that fundamental physics concepts can be explained in a simple way. I believe that all students can gain a natural intuition for physics, and view it as a beautiful, satisfying subject. I have experience tutoring introductory physics and math courses at UNC, as well as high school AP Physics and AP Calculus. Additionally, my experience as a science educator at Morehead Planetarium further allows me to explain science to students of all ages. I believe that the best way to learn physics and math is to practice! Therefore, I work on lots of practice problems with my students to ensure that they can understand the concept and work a problem on their own.
In addition to my physics background, I am incredibly passionate about tutoring students in essay writing! I believe that there is a certain formula to writing a great essay, whether it be for a college application or your English class. I would love to work with you on grammar skills, essay structure, finding a great hook, or simply knowing where to begin. My writing has been published in Cellar Door Literary Magazine, and I am the founder and editor-in-chief of my own poetry magazine, Orlando.
