Hello! My name is Mitali Sakharkar, and I am a incoming medical resident physician (M.D.) looking to help students love to learn. I am graduating at the top of my undergraduate and medical school classes from Boston University's College of Arts and Sciences with a degree in Medical Sciences. I have taken the highest level, most challenging courses throughout college and joined one of the top five most competitive fields within residency as well as matched to an elite tier institution within my program as a first-generation student. I have experience tutoring students from K-12 in (English, Writing, Reading, Public Speaking, Chemistry (General and Organic), Mathematics (Up to Calculus BC), Cell biology, Physics, Anatomy, and Physiology as well as college students within the life sciences and medical students for USMLE Step 1 and 2. I have also been a lifelong speech and debate coach and mentor with an ability to create an impactful personal statement and help you curate a story for admissions counseling at each stage of applications, whether college, medical school, or residency. I have an appreciation of how different methods of communication can impact students differently, and I will work with you and go above and beyond to make sure your learning style and needs are met.
Objectively, I have consistently score in the topmost percentiles for every standardized exam, have won multiple awards in training for my excellence clinically, and during applying myself have crafted a personal statement that was lauded in interviews for being the best statement that many had read. Applications and interviews should not be a black box, and my goal is to communicate the "lessons learned" from my experiences and my student's experiences to you early on, so you can give yourself the best chance of achieving your goals.
