Hi, I'm Bhavna. I tutor elementary math and English, and I teach Hindi to students of all ages. Whichever brings you here, my approach is the same: meet you exactly where you are, go at your pace, and make it a relaxed space where mistakes are just part of learning.
Elementary math & English:
I work with young learners who need a patient, steady guide — whether that's building confidence with fractions, getting comfortable with reading and writing, or simply catching up after a tough stretch at school. I don't rush, and I don't make a child feel behind. We find what's actually tripping them up and work through it together, with plenty of encouragement along the way.
Hindi — children and adults. I'm a native Hindi speaker and I teach standard Hindi, the Hindi spoken across northern India and understood almost everywhere. My students come for all kinds of reasons: children keeping the language alive at home, and adults connecting with a partner's family, preparing for a wedding or trip to India, or reaching back toward their own heritage. Complete beginners are very welcome. We build speaking first, add reading and writing in Devanagari if you'd like, and I lean into Hinglish — the natural mix of Hindi and English real families actually speak — so you're ready for real conversations, not just textbook ones.
