Private Tutoring for General and Organic Chemistry

I am a Ph.D. chemist from the University of Connecticut with more than twenty years of teaching and tutoring in general and organic chemistry. I taught undergraduate general chemistry laboratory as a standalone course at Eastern Connecticut State University, including two semesters online, and I was responsible for instruction, safety, lab reports, and grades. At UConn I also taught as a teaching assistant in general and organic chemistry and in graduate advanced organic chemistry and molecular structure determination, including NMR, mass spectrometry, FT-IR, and UV-Vis.
I now work as a materials scientist in industry, so I can connect course topics to how chemistry is actually practiced: structure and bonding, reaction mechanisms, equilibria, spectroscopy, and how data from an experiment become a conclusion. Students come to me when they are behind, when they want a stronger grade, or when they want to start a term without falling into the usual traps.
