Hi there, my name is Collin.

Thanks so much for your interest in my tutoring services. To give you some insight into my abilities and credentials, I’d like to start by summarizing my education. I have a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management and a Master Science in Geography. During my time in college, I completed coursework in subjects ranging from geology, geography, geographic information systems, surveying, forest ecology, and entomology.

After attaining my education in 2006, I have spent my career as a Geographic Information System professional for various government agencies. I have expert knowledge of the principles of Geographic Information Systems, an in-depth knowledge of ESRI software (ArcPro and ArcGIS Online), and Trimble hardware and software.

Lastly, I’d like to explain how I can be of service to you. For 8 months I worked in a technical support role for a company that sold Trimble Navigation products. In that role, I would teach clients how to use advanced GPS hardware and software in a formal setting. Teaching sessions were typically three hours long. On two occasions I helped teach a group of 10 to 15 people over a three-day period. In a non-formal setting, I have many hours of teaching colleagues correct methods to use and incorporate GIS technology into their work. In these capacities I have realized how rewarding it is to help others. I can safely say that helping others is the highlight of my career and my goal is to bring that spirit to a tutoring session so that you can succeed!
