I am working towards a Bachelor’s degree in English and I have experience working with students across a range of ages and skill levels. I’ve worked as an Assistant English Teacher with Prince George’s County Public Schools, where I supported middle and high school students in strengthening their reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and literary analysis skills. In this role, I helped plan lessons, provided one-on-one support, and guided small groups through targeted learning activities, especially for students who needed extra help or accommodations.
I also volunteered as a youth educator at the Smithsonian’s ArtLab, where I led workshops that integrated creativity, technology, and critical thinking for teens. These experiences deepened my passion for education and taught me how to adapt my teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
In addition to teaching, I’ve been deeply passionate about writing for over 20 years. I’m a published writer with work featured in multiple publications. Whether a student is working on personal narratives, persuasive essays, or literary analysis, I help them develop clarity, voice, and confidence in their writing.
