Hi, I’m Harrison! I hold a BS in Biochemistry from Rice University and am currently pursuing my PhD in Pharmacology at UNC-Chapel Hill. I have a strong foundation in the life sciences, with particular expertise in biology, chemistry, and math.

I’ve worked with students at both the high school and college levels, including those preparing for AP exams, college finals, and standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. In undergrad, I served as a teaching assistant for honors organic chemistry for two semesters, and I’ve also volunteered in science outreach and career mentoring programs for middle and high school students.

I understand how tough these subjects can be—and I enjoy breaking them down into manageable, intuitive concepts that truly click. Whether you're reviewing for an exam, struggling with a tough topic, or just want to deepen your understanding, I’m here to help.

My tutoring style is patient, flexible, and tailored to each student’s needs. I believe in meeting students where they are—whether that means reviewing the basics, working through problem sets together, or exploring advanced topics with more depth. I enjoy using real-world examples and analogies to make the material more relatable and memorable. My goal is to not only help you improve your grades but also build your confidence and enthusiasm for science. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, and I’m always excited to see students grow and succeed.

Biochemistry

I hold a BS in Biochemistry from Rice University and am currently pursuing a PhD in Pharmacology at UNC-Chapel Hill. I’ve tutored college students in biochemistry courses ranging from intro to advanced, and I have firsthand experience with the subject’s role in pre-med, biology, and pharmacology tracks. I focus on helping students understand mechanisms, pathways, and molecular interactions in a way that builds both conceptual clarity and exam confidence. Whether you’re reviewing lecture material or tackling problem sets, I aim to make the content approachable and logical.

Chemistry

I hold a BS in Biochemistry from Rice University and am currently pursuing my PhD in Pharmacology at UNC-Chapel Hill. I’ve worked with high school and college students on a wide range of chemistry topics, from general and honors chemistry to AP and college-level organic chemistry. Excellent tutor! Very patient!

I had Harrison help tutor me for my university O-Chem final, and he went above and beyond! He was very thorough with material, and set a comprehensive plan on how to tackle the material. I went from looking at a failing grade on my final to getting an 85 within a little over a week! If it wasn’t for him I would have probably not passed my class

Great Biochemistry Tutor!

Harrison is working with my daughter on her summer biochemistry class. He has been extremely helpful when reviewing topics covered in her fast-paced course. Along with being very knowledgeable, he has been able to break down the concepts and simplify them for her. With his help, she received a 99 on her first exam! We absolutely recommend him for anything biochemistry related!!!

Wonderful experience with Harrison!

Harrison and I went over organic chemistry practice problems to strengthen my knowledge before my exam. He was very good at breaking down the concepts when I did not understand and was patient in the times I would second guess myself. I was able to get through all of my chapter questions in just two sessions, something i've never done on my own. Needless to say, Harrison is a great tutor and knows how to work with students to suit their needs!

Super helpful and knows the material so well!!

Harrison is awesome! He has been constantly helping me with my chem review for my exam coming up and has been explaining concepts that I need to know for my exam so well. If I don't understand something, he comes up with alternative explanations that may help me better understand! I totally recommend him!! :)
