I earned Graduation with Distinction as part of the Biology department for my honors thesis as well. In August 2023, I took the MCAT and scored a 526 out of 528, putting my score in the top 100th percentile. The section breakdown was 131 in C/P, 131 in CARS, 132 in B/B, and 132 in P/S. I also scored a 36 on the ACT and 1580 on the SAT in high school. I have also taken several upper level biology and chemistry classes as part of my degree, earning high grades in all. From my classes and standardized tests, I have realized that one of the best methods for studying and earning high marks is individualized 1-on-1 sessions with professors or TAs that know the material inside-out. I create personalized study plans for each of my students based on their strengths and weaknesses. I also ensure my students get effective practice both on their own and through their sessions with me. This can come in the form of question packs or other online resources relevant for each test.
I have over 4+ years of experience tutoring students of various levels ranging from elementary school to college students. These have ranged from online to in-person tutoring as well. My main focus as a tutor for middle and high school students was in mathematics for the SAT and Algebra courses. As I transitioned to college, I began tutoring in the sciences as well. Following my successful MCAT attempt, I have spent a year helping and teaching students through an online forum. For each student, I create personalized study plans from the start of their studying to the final test date, so that each individual has the best chance to score well and succeed on their exam.
