With over 10 years of experience in math education, I am a dedicated and results-driven math tutor specializing in helping students of all levels build confidence and mastery in mathematics. I have worked with middle school, high school, and college students, offering personalized instruction in subjects ranging from foundational to advanced levels.

My teaching approach is centered on helping students understand what they are doing and learn how to study, with an emphasis on clarity, patience, and adaptability. I am skilled in tailoring instructional strategies to meet individual learning styles and academic goals. I provide a range of support to learners, including those requiring remedial instruction, learners with special education needs, and gifted students seeking enrichment and acceleration.

I think that, with enough motivation and dedication, everyone has the ability to understand and do math. I aim to identify my students' learning preferences and strengths; and leverage these. I provide students the tools to do math confidently. I check for understanding throughout sessions and invite students to notice patterns, make connections to other concepts, make predictions.

Over the past decade, I’ve helped hundreds of students improve their grades, prepare for various standardized tests, and develop long-term problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom. Whether working one-on-one or in small group settings, I strive to make math accessible, engaging, and enjoyable. My goal is not just to help students succeed academically, but to cultivate an overall passion for learning.

I have several years of experience teaching algebra and other related maths. I am a flexible and adaptive teacher. I genuinely enjoy tutoring math. I work well with all types of students — whether they are looking to advance in math or perhaps need help catching up.

I have been tutoring middle and high school geometry for several years. I genuinely enjoy teaching and tutoring math. I have a BS in math (2019, University of CA, Davis). My extensive knowledge in advanced geometry topics has granted me insight into the basic geometry taught in middle and high school. I am still able to present information in a simple way so students can digest the concepts. I work to help them make connections to what they already know and build on that knowledge.

I have several years of experience teaching and tutoring pre calculus, as well as other related math courses. I have worked one on one with high school and college students in the form of private tutoring. I have also lead small group instruction in precalc for college students. I have also coached fellow tutors and have refined methods for teaching precalc. I emphasize connections to other math courses and real world applications. I provide a tailored approach depending the students’ needs.

Amazing tutor! Kind, understanding, patient, and knowledgeable!

Alexandria has been teaching my daughter Brooklyn every Wednesday and she is AMAZING. Before this tutor we had tried a couple of other people on here and no one has been able to do as good of a job explaining the math concepts to her as well as Alexandria did. Alexandria has no problem waiting for Brooklyn to answer even if it isn’t immediate. She explains the same thing as many times as Brooklyn needs and is so kind and compassionate it’s absolutely wonderful. Does a good job of explaining concepts also - doesn’t blurt things out quickly but explains things slowly and carefully while still being aware of the hour time limit. My daughter finally understands Pre-Algebra.. Thank gosh for Alexandria!!
