Hello, I am Will! I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Appalachian State University in May of 2023 and am now a chemistry PhD student at UNC Chapel Hill. At App State, I was a university appointed tutor for several classes including general chemistry, thermodynamics, analytical, and quantum chemistry. For each of these classes, I would prepare a problem set which we would complete together. I think this is a great way to reaffirm students of what they already know, as well as helping out in areas less understood. I was also a private tutor at App State providing 1 on 1 assistance for general chemistry students. During these sessions I helped students with topics they were struggling with as well as getting them ahead on future topics. I plan on diving deep into topics that the student is having trouble with, or just introduce future topics with practice problems we complete together. Chemistry is commonly known as a very challenging subject, but I don't think it has to be!
