Hey! My name is Brendan, and I am excited to be your tutor! I recently graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and I am currently perusing my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University. I have always been a math-y/science-y kind of guy, and I want to help you reach your goals, whether that be improving your standardized test scores, or learning how computers work all the way down to the lowest level.
Throughout my undergraduate education, I accumulated five semesters of experience as an undergraduate teaching assistant in different computer/electrical engineering courses. This has given me value experience leading discussion sections and working one-on-one with students to better their understanding of difficult subjects. During my time working with students, I fell in love with the feeling of going on a journey with students, seeing them go from struggling with a subject to the moment it all finally clicks. I'm a big believer in teaching skills instead of answers: not telling a student how to solve one specific problem, but rather how to approach a wide array of problems independently. My ambition for the future is to teach at the highest level possible, so I'm not only looking forward to being a part of your journey to reach your goals, but also you being a part of mine!
