I am an experienced elementary educator with a strong background working with students in kindergarten through third grade. I have spent many years teaching and supporting young learners in classroom, small-group, and one-on-one settings, helping them build confidence and mastery in foundational academic skills. My experience includes early reading development, phonics, reading comprehension, handwriting, and elementary math.
My instructional approach is structured, supportive, and tailored to each child’s individual needs. In reading, I help students strengthen phonics skills, decoding, fluency, and comprehension so they can become more confident and independent readers. I also enjoy working with students on handwriting, including print and cursive, focusing on proper letter formation, legibility, and fine motor development. In math, I support students with foundational concepts such as number sense, fact fluency, problem-solving, and building a strong understanding of how math works.
I believe young learners thrive when instruction is clear, encouraging, and paced appropriately. I work hard to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks. My goal is not only to help students improve their academic skills, but also to build confidence and a strong foundation that supports long-term success in school.
