I've worked with helping people write and increase their passion for writing in several different capacities in my life, as a tutor, as a workshop teacher, and as a writing mentor.
As a graduate of a Creative Writing program of study I'm familiar with multiple aspects of English Reading and Writing and can assist in preparation for SAT/ACT reading and writing test prep, as well as teach homeschool reading/language arts courses and assist with K-12 general assistance in previous coursework. While I do specialize in reading and writing specifically I can assist with literature, grammar, bible study, and many more subjects.
My goal with my sessions is to help my students be excited about the subject they're struggling with and to develop a passion for writing that they may not have been exposed to before.
I assign prompts and homework to be completed between lessons to encourage my students to stretch their writing muscles between meetings, and provide progress reports and assessments to allow the student to see real growth.
