Hi! I am Grant and have been teaching full time for six years. I have taught most core subjects including math, science, and social studies. I am a certified teacher in all three areas as well. I am working on leaving the classroom full time but still really enjoy the teaching aspect of the job just not the administrative side of things. Working one on one with students is what I enjoy most in education and tutoring is a way I can continue to do that without the parts I do not like! I have taught both middle school and high school ages.
I have spent time in the classroom during covid so I am well acquainted with an asynchronous and virtual learning environment. I was able to still effectively reach my students during that time even though I was not face to face. I think that is a strength that I can bring to this teaching and learning environment. I am looking to transition out of the classroom full time and I am hoping that this is avenue to continue working in education and teaching kids while not being 100% full time in a classroom setting.
