Hi! My name’s Taylor, and I’m a tutor. I have a bachelor’s degree in English and education, and I have always enjoyed working with people as they improve their skills. In college, I realized that I could take that passion and actually study education. After going through my teaching certification program, learning more about how we all learn, and working with many students with different strengths and struggles, I was excited to get into the classroom as a middle school teacher. I’ve tutored one-on-one, taught middle school English and social studies, and helped K-12 students, college students, and more with their writing.
Reading and writing are some of my favorite subjects. Sometimes what we want to say and what we manage to get out on the page are two totally different things. I like to help people bridge that gap, because English is more than a subject, it’s how we communicate important ideas throughout all areas of life. Whatever you’re working on—be it homework, a 20 page paper, a novella, or anything in between— and wherever you are in the writing process—whether you’re looking for help with the first steps of a project, or you just need a second pair of eyes on a final draft—I’m happy to help!
