I am 27 years old. I received my degree from North Carolina A&T State University where I study Psychology. Before graduating I was also majoring in Secondary Education Mathematics, but I decided to lateral entry into teaching math instead of completing the education program. All of my math courses that I took in college qualified me to complete this process of becoming a math teacher.
I am entering my 4th year of teaching math.
I have taught high school math (9th & 10th grade) for two years. I currently teach middle school math (7th grade) at Northeastern Randolph Middle School (NERMS). I love what I do because of the amazing feeling I get from seeing students finding their confidence and making connections.
I feel that what makes me unique is being young an able to connect with students through building relationships which allows for an easier transfer of learning concepts. As far as the subjects are concerned, I was once a student in all of these courses and I have also taught all of the courses.
Please feel free to learn more by contacting me and provide the opportunity for me to help build your math confidence through changing your mathematical mindset.
