As a dedicated and experienced educator, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching. I am a certified K–6 teacher with a strong foundation in both literacy and mathematics instruction. I have completed all sections of the LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) training, which has equipped me with research-based strategies to support students in developing foundational reading skills. I have also participated in two years of professional development focused specifically on elementary math, deepening my understanding of how young learners develop number sense, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning. My teaching experience includes full-time classroom instruction in both 2nd and 3rd grades, where I provided engaging, differentiated lessons that met the diverse needs of my students.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have tutored elementary students in grades K–5, focusing especially on math instruction. I believe in building students’ confidence through hands-on learning, positive reinforcement, and consistent support. Whether a child is catching up, staying on track, or seeking enrichment, I work to tailor each session to the student’s learning style and academic goals. I’m passionate about helping students grow and succeed, and I bring patience, encouragement, and a deep understanding of elementary education to every tutoring session.
