Welcome, I am Molly! I graduated from the University of Georgia in December of 2021 receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary education. I immediately jumped into the field, teaching my first class of 5th graders in January of 2022. At the time, I was working to complete my Master's Degree in Educational Theory and Practice and I completed my program in December of 2022, graduating with Honors.
During my time in the Graduate School, I noticed a need in schools for high-quality reading instruction and ESL support. I completed additional coursework and investigative studies to earn my certification for ESL and Reading Intervention. For the past 2 years, I have been teaching 1st grade using the Science of Reading as a research-based method to drive and build my lessons for instruction. I have worked with students in various settings such as Pre-K Lead Teacher, Elementary Teacher, 4-1 tutoring, and Summer Camps focused on Social Emotional Needs. I am extremely passionate about the effectiveness of teaching and finding the most effective strategies to engage and support my students. I enjoy utilizing play-based learning, which engages students' bodies and minds to teach to the whole body.
I absolutely love the work I do and hope to be able to extend my reach beyond my classroom. I believe every student deserves to feel like they are successful and that they are capable of anything when given the right support.
