I started playing guitar about nine years ago or so because I thought it looked cool while watching people perform. Didn't really know much because I was in Orchestra at the time learning Violin so I knew the basics of music theory to get me started. I was never the most studious guitar player! Up until about 3-4 years ago I never had that burning passion for it, but one day it hit me and I cracked down and taught myself how to play to the level of where I am at now through research and practicing. I current write my own music to express myself and to escape from the world for a few hours a day.
Practice is key to becoming a better player, but having a passion for the music you're creating is, to me, the most important thing. Without that passion, you lose the desire to learn, which leads to discouragement and the loss of interest. I want to create a way to learn and while feeling the music you are creating. That's my goal with this.
