My teaching career started as a graduate student and by the time I completed graduate school, I had been honored with the best teaching assistant award in chemistry. After three years of postdoctoral research, I delved into full time teaching at the college level. I have taught on a full time basis for the last 8 years. I believe in teaching students how to learn especially guiding students identify key areas of improvement so that they can build solid foundation in the subject matter in question. While teaching in college, one of my greatest joyful moments were the times I helped students achieve beyond their expectations in the physical sciences (Chemistry and Physical Science). I believe in listening to the student and by so doing, I am able to understand the barrier to the students progress in the subject matter in question.
If you are the student, I will work diligently with you to assist you in meeting and surpassing your stated learning objectives and outcomes. If you are the parent, your child is in good hands and by the time we complete tutoring for your child, your child will have acquired new learning skills (learning how to learn).
I have found students respond favorable to challenges posed by their instructors or tutors. If you the student or the parent and the students are ready for the challenge, then let us get started. Remember, Procrastination is a thief of time.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
