I bring more than three decades of experience as an educator, mentor, and guide, working with learners across a wide range of ages and backgrounds. My formal education includes two degrees in education, and my teaching experience spans traditional classroom settings, one-on-one instruction, small group learning, and experiential, field-based education. Over the years, I have taught elementary through high-school–aged students, as well as adults, adapting my approach to meet each learner’s needs, abilities, and learning style.

In addition to classroom teaching, I have extensive experience teaching in nontraditional settings, including educational programs connected to Yellowstone National Park and work with students on the Seneca Reservation. These experiences strengthened my ability to connect academic concepts to real-world contexts, cultural understanding, and practical application. Whether working in schools, outdoor programs, or community settings, I have consistently focused on building trust, curiosity, and confidence in my students.

My tutoring approach is patient, structured, and encouraging. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and understood, so I focus on breaking concepts down into manageable steps while helping students see how learning connects to their own lives and interests. At this stage of my career, I bring not only subject knowledge, but perspective, calm, and adaptability—qualities that help students stay engaged, overcome frustration, and make steady progress.
