After 20 years in the medical field I decided I wanted to change my pace. I returned to college and got my Bachelors in Childhood education.
I have three years of experience substituting Kindergarten through High School and over five years experience in classroom volunteer work with Kindergarten through sixth grade. I have had wonderful opportunities to work with students with special abilities, multiple ages and different learning abilities.
Having four children of my own has also given me insight into the parents' side of education. I decided to join the field of education because I found that working with my children and their classmates at school was not only rewarding, but also helped to teach me at the same time. I discovered that each and every day there is a chance to grow, learn, and in turn teach. I feel it is my responsibility to take advantage of these opportunities. In doing so I better myself personally and professionally.
