For most math teachers. Math came naturally to them. That wasn't my experience. I was not instinctively gifted at math. I had to work incredibly hard, using repetition, patience, and determination to master these concepts. Because I had to learn the hard way, I know exactly where students get stuck, and I know how to break down complex topics into clear, bite-sized, and easily understood steps. I firmly believe in the phrase, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." I believe real learning happens when you challenge yourself, but you won't be doing it alone.
