Hello, My name is Jackie and I have a diverse background in teaching health related subjects of all ages. I started my career as a health enhancement/PE teacher grades K-12 and after 6 or 7 years moved onto University of Montana where I taught health, fitness, and several sports classes. As a side job I was a personal trainer for over 20 years.
After studying psychology and Sociology extensively, I earned a masters degree in Mental health counseling. I worked as a career counselor, substance abuse counselor, and bereavement counselor before landing my current job instructing adults at The Lifelong Learning Center. I currently administer HiSET exams for individuals earning their high school equivalency credentials and teach fitness classes.
While earning my bachelor of science degree at the university of Montana, science classes were always my favorite classes as well as classes that I excelled in.
I have a friendly outgoing personality and enjoy meeting people of all ages from all different walks of life. I have a great sense of humor and like to make learning as fun as possible.
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, mountain bike riding, snowboarding and playing hockey.
I look forward to meeting you.
Jackie
