A pleasure to meet you! I'm currently majoring in English Writing and Psychology at Montana State University while being a volunteer writing tutor for my peers. With two years of tutoring experience preceding me, I have developed an unwavering passion for being a part of students' academic progression and I am thrilled to extend my reach to even more minds!

It is my belief that students are often taught academic writing in such curriculums that restrict and stifle their capabilities to develop a unique voice in their work. My goal as a tutor is to circumvent this by catering each lesson to my student's needs and progress. To give an idea of what this process looks like, I first gauge the strengths and weaknesses of my student and subsequently create a specialized list of improvements needed to meet their goals. My methods are intended for those spanning middle school, high school, and university levels pertaining to all subjects.

Ultimately, I place emphasis on growing writing ability in a fashion that is tailored to the individual as opposed to a restrictive and streamlined curriculum. I have seen first-hand the profound impact of this teaching philosophy among my students and wish to positively impact future learners similarly.

As I progress in university, I am additionally placing emphasis on developing my ability to effectively teach. I have worked as a writing tutor for my high school and as an assistant writing coach at Flathead Valley Community College prior to enrolling in college.
