Hi! My name is Franck. I'm originally from the Congo and have been living in the US for a number of years. I’m fun, energetic and have a certain stage presence that makes it interesting to attend my tutoring sessions while all my attention is directly focused on the specific needs of individual students.

I understand that different people learn in different ways, so the tutoring sessions are tailored accordingly. Learning methods vary greatly from place to place, let alone from one culture to the other. By taking unique and innovative approaches to teaching that help students connect with the subject matter they need to master, I make learning less of a chore and more of a tool to help the student achieve their objectives. Through personalized and focused teaching processes, the student will develop the tools needed for ongoing success in their field of study. As such, I make it a point to approach subjects with the student in ways that helps them get their mind around challenging concepts. By truly listening to the student needs and diagnosing where their understanding of concepts is breaking down, I'm able to help guide them in developing tools and build their confidence.

I've been blessed to develop learning skills that are very adaptable and have served me extremely well in my integration. It would be my pleasure to share them with you and my pride to see you develop the needed proficiency in subject matters that once were a challenge.

My parents took their responsibility of teaching us Bible teachings from the time I was almost 10 years old. 27 years later, I have not stopped learning more about the Bible. While I do not possess a degree in Biblical studies from a local university, I attended a private Christian college for my undergrad studies that had several requirements including Biblical studies topics that needed to be satisfied prior to graduation.

I came to the US in September 1995 and obtained my Business Administration degree in 1999. Since the summer of 1996, I've been fortunate to work with very successful business professionals who took me under their wings and allowed me the incredible privilege of "practicing" my education at work right away. Since then, my business experience spans from entry level to Vice President positions, including some board experience.

I was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and French is my first language. My elementary school years were spent in a French consular school, and the remainder of my high school years were spent in one of the best private schools in the Congo. My mastery of the French language does not only extend to my schooling, but also to my every day life as we spoke no other language at home but French. Few people know this, but even the French language has regional accent influences. Mine is primarily based on the region of Paris and its suburbs. To this day, I still watch the news in French whenever possible when I want to get a world news perspective that is broader than the one presented in the US media. If you are looking for a tutor who is able to help you speak the language but also use the appropriate words that enhance the nuance of the meaning you intended to communicate, I'm your tutor.

TOEFL

I learned English as a 2nd language while in the Congo, and I've also had to take the TOEFL prior to being admitted in college. Today, I hardly have any difficulty in my daily use of the English language, and I believe in my ability to better relate to the learning experience of the student. In addition, my level of integration in the American way of life, and English literacy in general, is a great, living example to the aspiring student that they too can do it.

Great with kids.

Thank Franck for the lessons and reviews which I just read, it was not so easy to teach my student as she is a bit shy and rather cautious by nature. Nevertheless, Franck managed to make some progress in a short period of time. It was a new and and interesting learning process.
