Hello! I'm Garret, and right now I work as a substitute teacher for the Great Falls Public Schools. I have a bit of experience teaching and tutoring a number of different subjects, but was part of the premier graduating class of the University of Providence in 2018, with a Bachelor of Arts in English. In college and high school, I helped my friends out by proofreading essays and helping discuss the books we were reading together in our classes, and I found that what most helped them understand our material was being able to slow down and go through it at their own pace. A class environment can become boring, or can move too fast for some students, which can lead to struggles in keeping up on your schoolwork. I'm happy to work at your pace, to review material as much or as little as needed to make sure you understand things and can become the most successful student you can be!
I have a year of experience working as an English teacher, and a year of experience working as a substitute, in addition to my experience tutoring friends and classmates. My classes range in size and attitude of students, so I'm ready to adapt to any needs you may have on the fly with patience and understanding. English isn't just something that I committed myself to studying, it's something that I'm passionate about. It's my hope that my passion can help you perform to the heights of your abilities.
Feel free to contact me at any time of the day. Since I work for the school district, my hours and availability will match up with the schedules of most students, meaning that weekend and afterschool tutoring sessions are always an option. I make it a point to be prompt with responses, and to be adaptable to make sure we can meet in person or online. If you're looking for a tutor that can teach material at your own pace, in a low-pressure environment, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
